This National Engineering Month, the ESS invites you to join us as we celebrate engineering achievements and explore what the future has in store for our profession.
Thank you to our gold sponsor, TBT Engineering Consulting Group, and our partner, the Lakehead University Faculty of Engineering, for their support!
Our Events
To kick off the month, we’re proud to announce the first annual National Engineering Month Engineering Design Competition!
As an individual or team of up to four members, construct a movable bridge structure and present your design to a panel of judges from the Lakehead engineering faculty. Teams will be given a budget and access to space on campus to complete their project.
Design requirements and judging rubric will be distributed to teams on March 5th and presentations will be held March 24th. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams!
Our second annual trivia night is the ideal opportunity to grow your engineering knowledge and relax after midterms. Meet us in the Outpost on Friday, February 10th from 5pm to 8pm to take part in multiple categories and win prizes.
